Getting expedition ready!

A group of Duke of Edinburgh's Award participants took their first steps towards their expedition this year with a practise walk on the Malvern Hills.

Starting in Eastnor Deer Park in front of the Somers Obelisk, the students navigated their way towards the summit of Midsummer Hill, part of the Malvern Hills range.

This initial outing provided valuable practical experience, allowing them to test their skills in navigation and teamwork, and to familiarise themselves with the terrain.

The walk up to Midsummer Hill offered a rewarding challenge and a chance for some to appreciate the scenic views.

The first challenge is now ticked off and huge thanks to the staff and volunteers who supported the trip.
