National Blind Football season concludes: Albion crowned champions
The final whistle blew last weekend, marking the end of an exciting 2024/25 National Blind Football League season. West Bromwich Albion (WBA) had already secured the Premiership title with two games to spare, and they finished their dominant campaign in style, bagging two more victories to emphatically seal their Championship status. Congratulations to WBA on a fantastic season!

The battle for the Premiership runner-up spot went down to the wire between RNC Hereford and Merseyside Blind and V.I. FC. Both teams faced the formidable Baggies, each succumbing to a 2-0 defeat with goals from WBA's Efe Shimwell and Eesa Amjid in both encounters.
However, RNC emerged victorious in their head-to-head clash against Merseyside, securing a crucial 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Brandon Coleman.
The final Premiership standings are:
WBA - 31 points
RNC - 13 points
Merseyside - 9 points
Meanwhile, the Championship Cup also saw West Brom triumph, defeating RNC 1-0 in both legs. A clean sweep for the Albion!
Looking ahead, the action continues with the Brian Aarons Cup, set to be held at RNC on Saturday 10 May. This competition will determine who will face West Brom at St George's Park in the prestigious FA Disability Cup in June.
A huge congratulations to the Albion on their Championship victory, and a well-deserved commendation to RNC for their runners-up finish in the Premiership. We look forward to the Brian Aarons Cup!
