West Bromwich Albion (WBA) wins Brian Aarons Cup, setting up FA Disability Cup showdown with RNC
The Brian Aarons Cup, held on Saturday 10 May delivered an exciting day of blind football, ultimately setting the stage for a highly anticipated clash in the upcoming FA Disability Cup.
In the initial group stages, RNC Hereford demonstrated their prowess with a dominant 6-0 victory over Merseyside, following a narrow 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion (WBA). WBA, in turn, secured their place in the final with a high-scoring 7-4 win against Merseyside.

This set up a thrilling final between RNC and WBA. It was West Brom who ultimately lifted the Brian Aarons Cup, securing a decisive 3-0 victory over RNC Hereford. The standout performance of the final came from WBA's Efe Shimwell, who scored all three goals, showcasing his exceptional talent once more.

This Brian Aarons Cup win is just the latest achievement in what has been an outstanding season for West Bromwich Albion's blind football team. Both their Premiership and Championship sides have clinched the League titles. Their League win means they have already qualified for the EE Disability FA Cup at St George's Park.
As runners-up in the Brian Aarons Cup, RNC Hereford will now have their chance for a rematch against the formidable WBA side at St George's Park on June 28-29.
This promises to be a thrilling encounter as both teams vie for national glory.
