Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE)

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme is the world's leading youth achievement award. A fun adventure and a major challenge, we offer two progressive award levels of Bronze and Silver. This will push your boundaries as you develop lifelong friendships, gain new skills and enhance your CV and university applications by going that extra mile.

RNC is a licensed centre for the DofE Award scheme which is run by experienced and qualified staff.

On a DofE expedition you learn to work as part of a team, pitch your own tent, prepare a meal outdoors, use modified compasses to navigate around the area and camp overnight.

It will give you the chance to develop skills for life and work, fulfil your potential, and have lots of fun making new friends along the way.

Students who take part in DofE can earn their Bronze or Silver Award and it will help you develop lifelong skills including problem solving, communication, team work and self-reliance. These are skills that can be used well beyond leaving RNC, for employability and gaining your own independence.
